Ok so I fried a board in my blackberry today and I already got a new one through my connections. Now my connections told me that using software on my 7130e that is not vzw will fry my board. Now I do not know if this is true or not.....

What I want to know is I am running the most up to date vzw software os. Is that the most up to date os on my 7130e I could use without frying the board. Ok and next and last question, what will different software (os) if I do change what difference will it make for me?

Just tryin to learn. Thanks.

That is something that someone in a call center who has never seen a BB would say. All of the software is written by RIM. You are NOT going to "fry your board" with new handheld OS software....

If that was the case, most of the people on this board would have fried BBs!!
