Hello all --- I have a quick question pretty please as I have searched everywhere and downloaded until I am blue in the face and cannot get this working---- I need to get me blackberry 7290 sync with my home pc but when I install the sync software (via software disc 4.0) it connects to my bb but I cannot donwload new programs -- and it does not actually sync with my desktop--- it is picking up old files that were loaded into my pc from a previous version I think and I am not sure what I need to do but my blackberry is absolutely useless if I cannot load any software that can be used with it nor can I get it to network remotely with my home pc???? does anyone have any idea what I need to do? I have tried for over a month now can someone PLEASE tell me what I am doing wrong? --- if any one has a link to get this to work as I actually need to be able to monitor my pc at home remotely with my BB....PRETTY PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I PULL MY HAIR OUT!! Thanks so much

I assume you replaced an older bb with the 7290. Are you able to start the application loader or are you saying it starts automatically when you sync your bb and goes ahead and installs old software? If you are able to start the application loader then you should be able to see a list of the apps you have and apps that it thinks you should have on your bb. That may be why it is installing this old software. You can always uncheck the software that you do not want installed.

Another option is to remove the old BB sync software and the one you installed and install a fresh copy.
