Default How do I *type* an email address when composing new email... - 03-01-2005, 11:41 PM

How do I just type in an email address without going to the contacts when composing a new email?

I just want to send an email to an address I know but every time I select 'Compose Email' I get sent to the Contact list.

Sorry for asking such a basic question. Couldn't find it in the search...

Scroll to the top of the address book, there's an Use-Once option..

instead of typing a, just start typing the email address: ie jsmi, then click on use once.. this will start the email address with jsmi.

I think the above sentence makes sense.

Just type an asterik * followed by Enter.
Or type "Use" followed by Enter.

Thanks,

Its interesting how some handsets don't have the 'use once' option...still attempting to find out why this occurs.

While in the address book hold the ALT key while wheeling. it jumps one page at a time and is pretty fast.
