Default BB 7750 Trouble. Data Connection refused

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a BB7750 and am operating on Aliant (Bell Mobility in Atlantic Canada). I can not get on the 1X network, instead I get Data Connection refused.

When my carrier tries to program the phone after ##000000 there are two fields missing. The fields are IP address and slip connection I think.

The problem may stem from the software that is on the phone. I ugraded the software from RIMs website to replace the software that was on the phone.

Any help would be appreciated. I tried to revert back to the old software but can not figure out how to do it.

weird, i went in the programming of my 7750, and didn't notice those two fields.. have you called data support? they should help you out as well, since Aliant is part of the BWC.. 1-877-328-2123

does your phone component work? the "data connection refused" only shows if you are not on a RIM data plan.. but if you are on one, and still have this showing, then yeah, something's going on...

Do you know what he did? Our tech guys have been upgrading all our BBs and all went flawlessly except one. That person is getting the DataConnection Refused error message. We've had her on the phone with RIM and T-Mobile tech support with no satisfaction.

We tried her SIM card in my handheld and it doesn't work so TMO is overnighting a new SIM card to her. It seems that somehow the SIM card might have been corrupted during the upgrade process.

UPDATE: New SIM solved the problem.
