Bulk OS upgrades

I am looking to upgrade from OS 4.0.x to 4.1.x. I have to do some 360 or so upgrades. Anyone know of any procedure or software that would make that upgrade easier? Last thing I want to do is dedicate my life to this project for the next few weeks.

That depends....are you going to upgrade them or are the users? If you are check out Handhled Config Tool under 4.0 (or BB Manager under 4.1) on a local machine with a USB hub. You can upgrade as many devices as you have ports for simultaneously. If the users are going to do the upgrade, you can use App Loader Lite (or Standalone App Loader as they sometimes call it) where the user can run the loader from a network share.

Are these tools included with the Enterprise Server or are they available as separate applications?

Bigger Bulk Load

I was just going to ask a similar question:

How does RIM load the OS at the factory for say, 100,000 devices?

That would have to be a pretty big USB hub. 8-)

Anyone know the procedure (just curious)?

Is the OS already embeded in the chips?

Jon
