I just downloaded the upgrade for 4.1.0.309 for my 7100T an T-mobile. During the install windows did an upgrade and restarted my computer in the middle of the BB upgrade. I can get my BB up and running and got the email and phone and everything working but now I have an icon for the BB enterprose server on the main screen. Is this common for all installs or just because mine was interrupted.

Also, what is "do you want the application Instant Messaging to act as a server" for.

Should I try to revert back to the old OS or do a reset and start from scratch. Since I lost all the data in my handheld when windows restarted a hard reset won't hurt any more then the mess I am in.

it sounds fine, but i would just do a wipe and reinstall. use the javaloader or the program created by one of our users. search for it.
