Default Forwarding message doesn't open Address Book

First post so forgive any mistakes I may make:

Blackberry 7290
Handheld Software
Wireless Provider T-Mobile
Corporate Configuration (BES 3.6.5)
Exchange 2000/Outlook XP
Desktop Manager 4.1

Last week one of my user's came to me with their company issued 7250 that was showing a Java 507 error. As I came to learn, the 507 error basically means that the OS and user data are gone and the device will need to be reloaded. I went ahead and reloaded the OS and then resynch'd the user's Outlook account with the device. All of the user's data, except for the messages of course, reloaded onto the device and everything worked as it should. Until today.

The user called me and reported that when attempting to forward e-mail (either by pressing the F key or selecting Forward from the context menu) the handheld opens the message to be forwarded, creates the typical forwarding modifications, and places the cursor on the To: field. By default, the handheld is supposed to first access the address book to allow the user to select a forwarding recipient. Has anyone seen this behavior before? I've spent the last hour on the BB website searching through their KBs to no avail. I also haven't seen any sort of option that would allow me to control such a feature. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As of handheld OS 4.1, the user simply types the name of a contact in the To: field and it will pull all matching contacts in a selection list. One no longer needs to select the contact from the full address book.
