Default 7290 crashes after BES loses connection to RIM - 08-19-2006, 10:28 AM

Hi,

I have a 7290, upgraded to 4.1.0.379 (Rogers).
The device works fine, but i have been noticing that when the BES loses the SRP connection to RIM, the device will crash with JVM 573.
I reset the device, but then i get this message:
Uncaught exception: Application Registry wait for (0x7491F7b6ae80681a) timeout.

The device reboots, but I lose all my emails, and the device won't connect to the data service (i get gprs in lower case).
Even if i reboot repeatedly, the problem stays the same and the only way to solve the problem is to wipe the device and resync from scratch.
I'm wondering to switch to the 4.1 from Cingular.
Is this a 4.1 issue?

Thanks.

Samy

Default 7290 4.1.0.379 crash with Rogers firmware - 08-19-2006, 12:45 PM

Hi,

After doing some troubleshooting, it turns out that the crash had nothing to do with BES.
Has aybody experienced crashes with Rogers firmware?

Thanks.
