Unhappy returning old emails to Handheld

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to put the messages back onto the handheld if you did NOT do a back up? My boss is less than Technically savy, so when his 7290 died, he got another and wants his old emails back on there as well. Any suggestions?

Email the messages to yourself. Or if your on BES, and its configured for it, you can restore up to 7 days or 350 messages (which ever is less) to the device during activation.

I ususlly tell people to call me in a week if they can actually tell that they are missing any emails from before the wipe. Never had anyone call me for it yet.

To follow on from d_fisher, if it is on a BIS stand alone service I'd advise the user to do weekly backups through Desktop Manager in future, which you could then restore to a replacement device.

Unhappy It is a little trickier than that

My boss wants all of her emails from the last 4 months restored. They are all in her Outlook and all in the Inbox (all 4800 of them) and she wants THOSE put back. There has got to be a way to do it......

That's an unrealistic expectation I'm afraid my friend. There's no way she's getting that. To be honest I'd be surprised if she had all of those in the device in the first place. Even in BES environments I think you can only get a max of 500 (can't remember the exact figure but it's definitely not in the four digit range).
