Default Email doesn't automatically open ?? - 03-08-2005, 09:26 AM

Strange problem, haven't seen this one before. I have a user that when he receives an email and pulls the BlackBerry (7510) out of the holster, the email does not automatically pop open. Whatever screen he last displayed is appearing and he has to go open the email manually. It used to work and he says he hasn't changed anything. I can't find an option to NOT open a message automatically. Anyone ever seen this? Any ideas? Thanks!

It may be a holster gone bad, or a bad holster sensor gone bad.

To find out if it is a bad holster or bad holster sensor, do this:
1. Turn on your BlackBerry backlight.
2. Insert your BlackBerry into the holster.
3. The backlight should turn off instantly.
4. If the backlight does not turn off instantly, something is wrong.

Replace the holster. If that doesn't work, replace/fix the berry.

Thanks,
