I am using a Tablet PC now and Desktop Manager is running fine.

Have you tried to install the latest version of the Windows Installer from the Microsoft Downloads web site?

Default Fine for me

I have been using a Tablet with the Desktop Manager for 2 years with no problems. Is this a corporate unit, do you have administrator rights then to install software? When you say it won't install, more information about what happens would help. Does it hang during installation, does it not start installation, do you get an error message?
