Default New Phone, No Programs O:

Please Login to Remove!

Hihi everyone ^^. I just got a Blackberry 7230, Version 3.7 the other day. I suppose it was maybe foolish to buy a 7230, but my intentions were to use the Blackberry primarily for jmIrc and RambleIM. I researched a bit and saw that 7230 was supported in both. So I figured, to get a $40 Blackberry and still have the programs I want, go for it! Well, since I got it, it has not been what I thought it would be :/.

First off, when I try to download jmIrc, it gets partway through 'Requesting' then stops and does nothing. Maybe it does install and I'm just a noob and don't know where to access it? >.<

Secondly, I tried downloading RambleIM, I got a Midlet error. I got on my laptop, looked it up, and to my understanding.. it means the version of Blackberry I have is not supported. Of course with my luck, RambleIM says right on their website that you need 4.0 or higher. What I had liked about RambleIM was that it was Data Transfer and not counted as SMSing. My plan only gives me 300 SMS a month. 10 IMs a day? :/ If anyone knows of another IM/AIM program that counts as Data Transfer, I'd really appreciate it if you could recommend it to me ^^.

So if anyone has any opinions, suggestions, or recommendations for good software, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you! ^^
