Question Desktop Redirector not sending

Please Login to Remove!

I have tried to get a new BlackBerry to work with the Desktop Redirector and I can get it to receive but not send. I have tried on a Win2k machine, win xp pro machine with Outlook 2000 and outlook 2003. the network is running an exchange 2003 server on windows 2003(single server).

creating new MAPI profiles doesnt seem to have an effect, reinstalling after removing the BB software doesnt seem to work either. We are using the 4.0 version of the software. I have cleared the BB unit and started all over again across the board and every time I can get it to recieve but not send. Recieving is also very delayed.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

What error message are you getting? encryption error?
If it's an encryption error, try downgrading the Desktop Manager software to 3.6, regenerate the encryption keys 3 times and start the redirector.

If you are using Outlook 2003, try disabling cached mode.

Also, on the handheld in options -> service book, do you have one that says "Desktop [CMIME]"?

I had this same problem. I had a corrupt profile, but in my case, how I repopulated the profile was important. If I created a new profile and simply moved my old pst file into the new one's place - same error. Export the items you want to save (calendar, contacts, etc.) as PST files, completely blow out the old profile and create a new one. Try the sync. It should work. If so, re-import your saved information from the older profile. Not clean, but there is something inherent with the outlook.pst file if you just try and bring it over entirely into a new profile.
