7100t v4.0 & Instant messaging v3.8-- Phone became very slow

I bought a new 7100t last week. It had v3.8 software on it and everything was working fine. The instant messaging - yahoo was working great.

I downloaded and installed the v4.0. But since then my instant messaging is not working and my phone has become very very slow. It takes ages to respond to click.

I have even tried the last paragraph instructions given in the installaition manual about deleting the T-Mobile USA IM Client Application & Instant Messaging Application and resintalling on the air.

Please help

Thanks
Prat

Hi
Though no one replied to this, but I was able to solve this prob. Uninstalling and installing efforts for 5 times did the trick and now my phone with yahoo mess is working great.

Thanks

For us noobs, was it just the OTA IM that you had to reinstall? And when it worked, was it still version 3.8?

Red face I've got the same problem

Can you provide more detailed instructions on how you resolved this issue. My phone is unusuable at this point it is so slow. Your description fits my situation to a tee.

Here are some things I would want to know.
  1. What is the version you are running on your handheld now?
  2. What is the version of your BES?
  3. What specifically did you do (steps please!!) to rectify the situation.

Thanks!
