Default Messengers for BlackBerry - 7290

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I hope that some of you are able to help me out. I am have a 8700g with all the messengers (Yahoo, Google, BlackBerry) pre-installed - now, I am trying to setup a friends 7290 with either Yahoo or BlackBerry messenger and neither are able to be downloaded on the device.

The 7290 is connected via SFR (France). We have tried to download BlackBerry messenger from it's website via the BlackBerry device and we get stuck in the 'Terms & Conditions' which, after pressing 'I agree" returns again - no luck in that department.

Then we tried to download Yahoo Messenger and when we press download, a message pops-up: "Download BlackBerry Internet Service(TM) Browsing feature on your BlackBerry device in order to access the Yahoo! Messenger download site"

We have tried to connect the BlackBerry via the desktop manager but for some reason they are not willing to connect.

Does anyone know how we can by-pass the Yahoo message "Download BlackBerry Internet Service(TM) Browsing feature on your BlackBerry device in order to access the Yahoo! Messenger download site"?

Thank you for your time and support.

Best,

Philip
