Do your other contacts sync? Did you check the current sync setting for contacts, do you perhaps have a filter applied?

Is it just one new contact or any new contacts?

This is going to be a stupid one, but have you enabled automatic synchronize or at least hit the synchronize now button?

I have actually had people ask me why it doesn't work, and it's because they think that as soon as you put the BlackBerry into the USB cable, it just magically worked without having it set to auto sync, and without them manually hitting the sync now button.

I am having this problem now after syncing 2-3 times per week for the past month. I can see the 7100G as a modem, it connects with no errors, it can perform a backup. However, I can add a contact on either end and it does not sync? No errors on the screen.

I figured this one out with the help of KB article. You go back into Intellisync and uncheck the 4 boxes for contacts, task, memo, calendar and go into options and set all to NONE. save out, exit DT manager, restart DT manager and check the 4 boxes again and reset the options back to outlook. Syncs fine again. The KB referred to a link being broken with the profile?
