Default Blackberry Messenger secure?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if chats across BlackBerry Messenger are secure? encrypted? I'm wondering since it's not traveling over a jabber or other type of infrastructure that I'm aware of.

Thanks,

Bradley

Default

PIN messages are by default not encrypted. In more recent BES versions you could generate organization keys for the devices you manage and then by policy force encryption but that would only work for devices with the key that you manage. -Pk
