Unhappy Level 1 Messages not working (7290)

Please Login to Remove!

On my old "BlueBerry" I had Level 1 Messages beeping just fine. But I simply cannot get this feature to work on my BlackBerry 7290.

In the desktop software, I have:
* Created a rule in Redirector Settings-Filters
* Verified the e-mail addresses in the "From" field
* Made the rule active (it has a check mark in its box)
* Set the Action for this rule to "Level 1"
* Tried it with and without Recipient Types selected
* Tested repeatedly!

On the handheld, I have:
* Made "Loud" the active Profile
* Set the Level 1 options in Loud to "Vibrate+Tone" both "Out of Holster" and "In Holster"
* Set the "Tune" to "BlackBerry 6"

I'm at my wit's end! Help please!

If you send a PIN message to yourself, does it beep with the BlackBerry 6 tune?

When the emails are forwarded to your blackberry, do they show up with the exclaimation mark on them?

Default Here's a dumb question

What is a Level 1 message and how are they different than regular messages?

Alan - I attached a Blackberry support doc about PIN message errors:

Jacob - A level 1 message is a PIN message. PIN (BB to BB message that bypasses the carrier's email system)

Talking It's fixed!

Turns out there was a filter setting on the server. IT changed that setting and my rules are now all working properly. Thank you to those who responded to my initial post.
