Default Bug in the Cingular Pearl OS (4.2.0.69)

Please Login to Remove!

In profiles, I have the choice to set different notifiers for Messages(Desktop) and Messages (Gmail).

However, if I change one, the other automatically changes to it as well. Thus, while there appears to be an option to set different notifiers, there really isn't.

Do other Pearl OSs have this bug as well?

That would be a showstopper for me! I love having different notifiers for work and personal mail! That would be worse than not having auto-dim!

I saw this same bug with 42. but 64 seemed to fix it.

I have the .69 cingular release (stock) and can set different notification tones for all my email accounts. It is not changing them all as your post indicated. Maybe you should delete the account re add it to get a new service book. Let me know if I misunderstood your post.

My example

messages(desktop) tune = notifier_morning
messages (xxxxx@comcast.net) tune = notifier_ready
etc
etc

You did not misunderstand my post. I can't set separate notifiers for each. I deleted my service books and resent them and it didn't fix the problem. I deleted the account and re-added it and it still didn't fix the problem.

Strange. Any thoughts?

Now that the .69 is available for download from Cingular...you may try downloading the software and reinstalling the OS on your pearl. Maybe more work then it's worth to fix that issue...
