Should I be able to view PDF files sent to me through Lotus Notes corporate account?

So far, I seem not to be able to do it.

I'm using a T-Mobile 7290 runing 4.0. Our enterprise server is not running 4.0. Not sure if that is the issue. I seem to remember seeing demos that suggested PDF viewing was possible generally.

Default More specific

Here's a twist. If I use microsoft word to create my own PDF and send it to myself, I can view it. If, on the other hand, I try to view a PDF created by scanning a hard-copy document, I only see page numbers with no text when I view the PDF. If anyone can confirm that this is a limitation of Blackberry software at this point, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I will try to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Question same problem here

We're running BES 4.0 and all of my users are experiencing the same problem.
if its a .pdf created in Adobe they can open it fine... if its scanned into Adobe and then made into a .pdf... all I get is page numbers...

We're also seeing something similar with scanned Word documents... anyone else seeing the same thing???

I had to go through several people at RIM to discover a while back that scanned PDF's definitively will not show on a BB even with 4.0 BES & Attachment Service. Odd because they will display TIFF's, but there you have it.

There is a service -- pricey IMO -- which alleges to solve this problem. I have a user who is going to begin trying it next week. Check out http://www.terratial.com/

I am currently participating in a beta for an attachment service from Repligo which is awesome. I don't know what the price will be, but it's the cure for what ails you.

I'm probably not going to get this exactly right, but maybe what I say will jog someone's memory and he or she will provide a more thorough answer.

As I understand it, if the attached pdf file is images, it can't be viewed on a BB. However, if it's all text, it can be.

Corrections? Clarifications?
