Default Newbie needs help to upgrade to 4.2 - 01-13-2007, 11:54 AM

I just purchased 7250 at end of 2006. I was advised that for one specific application I needed 4.2+ Desktop & same on 7250. I found on website the Desktop Software v4.2 which I downloaded and installed but there seemed no way to upgrade device. I then downloaded Device Manager 4.2.msi and it proceeded to remove DM software.

I have experimented but where it should seem so simple - download software, connect device and upgrade accordingly evades me.

Thanks in advance for any help received

There is no 4.2 software for the 7250 device. The only device that currently has 4.2 OS is the Pearl. Desktop Manager 4.2 will work with all BB's but some features like Media Manager won't work with the devices that don't have 4.2.

Moot point. There is no handheld OS v4.2 for that model BB.
