Default Problem wth 2nd Sync - 09-22-2004, 12:21 AM

Hi to everyone

My BlackBerry has displayed its first problem. After installing eOffice, I can not sync two times in a row (or do a backup for that matter). As sson as the Desktop Software and the BlackBerry try to connect, the Handhekp displays "Connecting to Desktop" and the dEsktop Software waits (and waits and waits).

Any ideas why this happens - the current fix is to disconnect the BB and reconnect it again.

Dave

I've found a similar problem after installs with 4.0 if you do let the unit sit long enough it will come around but lag is pretty bad. I installed the new desktop manager 3.6.2.9 SP3 and it seems to have solved the problem...

So you installed a service pack for version 3.6 on desktop version 4.0?

No OS 4.0 here (well, would try it but the link is hard to come by) and SP3 is not on the BB Webpage anymore

the problem may be related to Microsoft's SR2 for Windows. After I installed it I had problems with connecting as well. (I also use Dynoplex software)
I corrected the problem but uinstalling the handeld and the Blackberry Desktop software from my Windows machine and reinstalling the latest versions. The problem may arise again if you install any software that installs via an *.exe file (like eOffice) rather than directly through the Application loader via an *.alx file. (Don't ask me why - it's beyond me!)
Just repeat the install uinstall process again.

Or hang on till os4 is released and ditch bill gates for good! :P
