Default Bidirectional arrow on calendar icon

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all:

I am new to this forum and relatively new to BES 4.0. I just performed an enterprise activation on a BB 7520 handheld and noticed that I have a bidirectional arrow icon (white arrow in a blue circle) in the upper right corner of my Calendar icon. I assumed this indicated wireless sync, but a similar icon does not appear on Contacts, Notes, etc. Can someone explain what this icon represents?

Thanks

The blue arrow actually really means that your calendar has wireless sync enabled. For some reason, RIM treats the calendar wireless sync somewhat different than the wireless sync of the other databases (notes, tasks, contacts). Those items never get a similar arrow in their icons. If you go into the individiual apps (cal, notes, tasks, contacts) and then open options, you can see whether wireless sync is on or off.

This is the same for me. I am getting wireless sync on all of them, but there is no bidirectional arrow on the icons except Calendar. It's some kind of quirk leftover from the fact that older BES only sync'd the Calendar, while BES4 syncs all the PIM's.

This probably will be adjusted in a newer OS4 or something, to have bidirectional indicators on each of the PIM's that have wireless sync turned on.

Default Bidirectional arrow not on calendar

But in the Calendar Options, the Wireless Synchronization is set to YES. Has anyone seen this? How do I get the arrow back on? I tried wiping the device and reactivating it, but no good. I'll check tomorrow to see if its gets updated as I will leave it on all night.

Is that right? I wonder why they changed it? RIM gets on my nerves. Thanks for the info.
