Default Tmo's OZ Instant Messaging Software - 02-05-2007, 11:56 AM

Has anyone had any issues connecting using this software? Specifically, AIM? I'm trying to connect and I keep getting a "Communication error. Please try again or check your settings"

I haven't changed anything in my settings for this program, I'm in an area with full coverage, but I keep getting this error when I try to log in with AIM or Yahoo.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You need to change some in your settings for this program.

Help for using instant messaging the first time

After you intall instant messaging and the device reboot, you will be prompted.
1. Check the " all SMS connections" check box and select Allow.
2. Check the "all \\:3590 connections" checkbox and select Allow.

The first time you login to Instant messaging, you will be prompted.
1. Check the " all SMS connections" check box and select Allow.
2. Check the "all HTTP connections" checkbox and select Allow.

Note: These firewall settings can be reset by going to Options> Security> Firewall. Click the wheel and choose Reset Settings. You will need to re-anwser the pop up notifications. If not work..Then going to Options> Security> Firewall> Edit Default Permission> Connection: select Allow.

I hope this help!

Good Luck

You can find the download from the TMO website when you check for software upgrade for your BB device. You will need a login or valid phone number.

I've been having trouble with it as well. When I try to open it says uncaught exception and some weird symbols. So i deleted it then redownloaded it several times and nothing changed.
