Default BlackBerry and Proxy server - 09-23-2004, 09:18 AM

I am attempting to move to a DMZ configuration for my BlackBerry connectivity to RIM's NOC. "Not moving BES servers to DMZ, but leverage a proxy server in a DMZ"

RIM does not recommend a specific proxy product, but indicates that it must support transparent mode, my current proxy is a Sun box running Sun's Iplanet Web Proxy v3.6, we have had no luck getting the proxy product to act in a transparent mode and pass the traffic to RIM .... does any body have any suggestions to get around this issue using this particular proxy product.

Or ... if anyone is using a proxy configuration, what proxy products did you use.

Thanks
Kevin

We use BlueCoat proxy in a dmz, but i'm not sure how they configure it as they let us have access to it.
