Question Intellisync not syncing email

I have just got a 7100V for business use. We are a small company and do not have an Enetrprise server. Email is set up on our MS Exchange server to forward a copy of all emails to the Blackberry - this now works fine. However manual email reconciliation does not work, although address book does update. The reconcile email option is ticked but the log suggest thats the calender (not yet used) has been updated: log finishes "translation cancelled!" Any ideas what may be wrong? Is this something on the phone set up?
