I have posted already about an issue I am having with Tasks not triggering reminders. Particulary, recurring tasks will give a reminder on the first occurrence but never again. There have been a few people who confirm they have the same problem. I'm surprised by how few. Makes me wonder if we have a bad batch of phones, or maybe very few people use tasks.

I have the 8100; 4.2.0.71.

Does anyone have any insight as to whether this is an issue RIM is working on resolving?

OK. I spent some time with RIM Tech Support over the phone. They confirmed for me that recurring tasks does not work. However, the response to whether this will be fixed was; it may happen next week, may happen next year, or may never happen. Needless to say, I am very disappointed because it seems like far too rudimentary a feature to flat out not work.

But I want to be optimistic... Anyone know how often RIM releases firmware updates for their phones?

Are there any Blackberry models where recurring tasks do work?
