Question Opening links in emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I'm not entirely sure where to post it.

How do or can you change the default web browser which opens up when you select a link that is contained in an email?

Specifically on the 8700 but advice for any model would be helpful.

Thanx in advance for any help/advice.

Hi welcome to the forums.
First off, the thread you started should go to the new members forum as a safty net. But regularly some post in the After Market Software forum, others in the general 8700 forums. It depends on what you need but make certain you do a search first.
A lot of this is covered in the ams forum, general BB forum and a lot others.

But to answer your question, the BB browser is default and stays that way. Now if you had Opera Mini, you would simply copy the hyperlink and paste in opera. That's the closest you'll.

And as for apologies. Forget it. Just do a search and posting sometimes isn't nessecary.
Again welcome to BBF.com and enjoy!

Thanks for that, the reason why I said about not being sure where to post the topic is because they're is so many different parts of the forum that I could have posted it.

I'm not a new member either so I should have searched first, however I work for an IT company and we had a client ask us the same question and we said we'd get back to them on it, and time is money etc.

Anyway thanks again for the answer my co-workers and myself suspected as much, but I just thought it'd be good to get a general consensus on the subject from the big wide world.
