There might be an update, but you should get it from your carrier. Links for carriers can be found here:

Jungleland - luckily your bad advice won't do any harm. You can't load Cingular firmware on a T-Mobile phone unmodified (but you didn't give any direction for that), and even if you could, you might well lock yourself out of your network. The default setup for Cingular is to allow connecting only to the Cingular Network unless you get the device unlocked for International Roaming.

diegoooo82 - I stand by my original advice - if you need a firmware update, get it from your provider. Yes, it can be hacked, but unless you understand the directions given here you're best off not doing that.

Who said anything about international? He said he's Italian, he did not say he lives in Italy. He said Tmobile, which is USA, not tmobile UK, additionally, I have successfully loaded Cingular Software on TMOBILE UK, VODAFONE Netherlands, Bharti and many other Euro and Asian branded, and used systems...Guess what? They all work perfectly?

I would love to know what MODIFICATIONS you speak of, because if you are talking about the phone having to be unlocked to use software from another carrier. YOU ARE 100% WRONG

The OP said he was Italian, and said he was "on brand TIM" which is Telecom Italia Mobile. Junge, you misread that as Tmobile.

So let's assume he IS in Italy.

True, regardless, Cingular firmware will work fine on his device.
