Default Performing Advanced/Selective Restore

Please Login to Remove!

Are there any Forum members out there who have successfully restored a database from a backup to a device (Desktop Manager > Backup and Restore > Advanced) resulting in the appending of the restored data to the data in the database on the device?

I would like to copy the phone log from the backup of a previously used (and now DIA) device to the phone log of my new device (the new device already has a phone log database).

Thanks.

Default

Start Desktop SW
Connect BB
Select Restore, Advanced
Select desired Backup
Highlight item you want to Restore
Press Right facing arrow key to push to device.

It's really that simple.

I have found that that some databases must be restored BEFORE the device is activated (i.e., Enterprise Activation) - like the Address Book.

Default RE: Performing Advanced/Selective Restore

Chinasaur:

Thanks for your posting.

To confirm, that will append the data in the backed up database to the same database on the device, i.e. the restore process will not over-write the data in the database on the device with the backed up data, correct?
