This is for a 7250 (Bell Mobility up here in Canada).

Can you install and use desktop software 4.0 and connect to BES 3.6?

I can't seem to find handheld manager for 3.6...doesn't seem to be available for d/l from Blackberry's website. I see that 4.0 includes the handheld manager.

My understanding is that in order for 7250 to get emails, contacts, etc, i have to have handheld manager install on the workstation.

I have a 7100g and with desktop 4.0 and my companies BES is 3.6 and everything works fine.

Thanks for quick response. I'm a newbie at Blackberry and I now have to support BB at work. My workplace has 4.0 for BES and 7250 for BB (the BES and Exchange 2003 are out of my control...they're over at HQ thousands of miles east of here).

One of our clients, Bell Mobility (kind of ironic I know), has 3.6 for BES but are using 7250. They had 6750 or whatever but decided to go with the newer 7250.

I'll uninstall 3.6 and install 4.0 desktop software and give that a try.
