Default BB Desktop manager hangs connecting to messaging system

hello all,
Hopefully someone can help me out here. I have a user who I've installed Desktop manager V4.2 on. When it's initializing it states that it's connecting to messaging system but hangs there going no further. This is installed on a Dell D610 Windows XP SP2. I've uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times. I'm at my wits end on this one. Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help me out with this.

Have you configured outlook on your system i.e Dell D610 Windows ?

I am getting this same issue. Outlook is configured on the client.

I am also having this problem...and the DM was working fine yesterday, but today...no good. Removal and re installation of both Outlook and DM have done nothing to fix this problem.
