I use a VerizonWireless 8703e via Exchange server but recently wanted to add some themes. I downloaded Desktop Manager for the 8703e (4.1) and installed it on a Windows Vista machine. It installed fine, but I can't find it anywhere on the computer! It should be in a folder named "Research in Motion" in /Program Files...but that folder is not there.

I tried installing it on my Windows XP laptop...same thing. I'm a very experienced Windows and computer user, but this has me totally baffled. I've used Desktop Manager before (prior to using BES/Exchange server) and there was never a problem. Any ideas?

For Vista make sure you are using DM 4.2 SP1. As far as where it went on XP....Should be there.

Thanks, John, but I tried that build for Vista, and both that one and 4.1 for XP...neither show up on either machine. This is the strangest thing I've ever seen. They install...but they're not there. They do show up in Add/Remove Programs so I can at least keep uninstalling to try again...but so far no luck. I'm going to try again and turn off Microsoft's OneCare (firewall and AV program).

Same issue. Loaded several times, can't find in My Computer or Desktop; but in add/remove programs. Not sure if administrative rights issue.

Do a search on your harddrive for DesktopMgr.exe
