Default Blackberry video player

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, hopefully im posting this in the right section.

ATM, I dont own a Blackberry myself, and obviously, I don't know much about it.

I'm working for a mobile video developper, mostly users using normal phones, but we were seeing a huge increase of users using Blackberrys lately.

We had a lot of complain lately from Blackberry users, not being able to view our movies. We were wondering what was the default movie player on most Blackberry (if that makes sense).

Any links on the video player specs ? I havent been able to to find anything yet.

Are the video players all different from one Blackberry model to another ?

Thanks in advance,

(sorry for my English skills, its not perfect yet )

The only models that currently play video (and probably the only existing ones that ever will) are the 8100 pearl, and the 8800.

I believe info on encoding can be found at these links:

8800: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...00-videos.html

Thx very appreciated. That will help me a lot. I found some video playback info on the 8800 and 8100. I was wondering why there was no infos on some other models.

Thx

The 8100 and 8800 are the only models with expandable memory, so the other models wouldn't be very good with videos only being a couple minutes long.

The 8700 series can play video with a third party program like BBTV but BBTV is supposed to be just for Canadian blackberries.
