Default Desktop Interface

I have been a long time user of the Palm Pilot. I like the functionallity of the desktop interface, being able to add, delete change things like addresses and calendar info., is there something like that for the BB?

BB's come with Desktop Manager that operates a bit differently... You can't manage from it so to speak.... You can sync address book ect... But you will need Outlook or a similar PIM client...

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Not as a RIM product. MS Outlook works great for that and give a seamless sync with the BB.

Major newbie here (I've had it 1 day.) I, too, am moving from Palm to BB. I've read every user guide I can find, but can't figure out how to sinc BB with outlook. I can't find any directions on how to sync BB with outlook. My desktop manager is a small rectangle with 3 options: app/backup/sync. Is that all there is? I'm used to Palm desktop which mimics the handheld.
