Question Mix and match apps/plat

Had anyone tried mixing the 4.2.1.90 apps from the latest 8800 OS (Rogers) with the latest 8100 plat (TIM) to see how the 8100 runs afterwards?

Odds are they'll either not even be accessible from the device or you'll have java errors up the wazoo

All the apps from any 4.2 release will work with any 4.2 released plat (PL2.3). The reason I suggested 8800 was because of the media and it is the latest 4.2 apps release, obviously we'd have to keep the camera cod's from the 8100 release. Has anyone tried this?

This is not true at all. The apps MUST be made for the device. 8800/8100 apps will not run on an 8700
