Default Disabling Browser - No BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I'm using my BB with basically no-frills T-mobile service. I'd like to disable the browser if at all possible. I've already hidden it from the menus, but I'd like to go the extra step of either completely disabling it or removing it from the BB itself.

Any ideas?

From the device go to Options >> Advanced Options >> Applications

Delete the browser

Then go to Options >> Advanced Options >> Service Books and delete the browser(s)

Is there any way to get the browser back if I do that?

Also, won't the Service Books just get updated when I next lose power to the BB?

You can go into Desktop Manager and then Application loader and uncheck the Browser.... It will then remove the Browser from the device as well...

Yes if you want to add it back just go into Desktop manager then Application Loader and check the browser box.....

You'll need the OS package installed on the PC first, however, in order to reload it to the Pearl.
