Default Blackberry Vs Always-On Mail Pay As You Go

Please Login to Remove!

Work Out of Office (A UK based comapny trading worldwide) Work Out Of Office Ltd. : Home is the first company to offer email on your phone using the Pay As You Go model. Other providers, such as Blackberry, Good and Visto all provide a Push Email solution. The problem is that they all tie you up to a one year contract, which no IT Administrator wants to do with an untested product. Work Out of Office however offers a push email service that you can opt in or out of whenever you like.

Was wondering if Blackberry are thinking of any Pay As You Go service?

Welcome to the Forums, Martin.

It's hard to tell what RIM/BlackBerry is "thinking". They don't offer the service, it comes from the various carriers (TMobile, AT&T, Vodafone, etc.), from which I have seen no movement towards pay as you go plans for BlackBerry Data Plan service.

Your first post, and it sounds like an ad copy for the service. BB are hardly an untested product. And if the business has a case for push e-mail, you investigate the options, and if you need to tie yourself to a device and 1 year contract to properly evaluate, that is the cost of doing business.
