I was installing a 7280 BB and used Desktop Manager 4.0 on a machine running Windows XP SP2. When I did a local sync I got an "email reconciliation error" and no synching was able to take place. I uninstalled and re-installed but to no avail. I removed the Exchange profile for the user and re-added it. Still got the error message. I uninstalled 4.0 and installed the previous version 3.6sp3a. This worked like a charm.

I'm a bit perplexed because yesterday I installed several 7290 (not 7280) devices using Desktop Manager 4.0 and did not receive any error messages and everything worked fine. Can anyone shed light on why this fluke with version 4.0 and device 7280?

The only resolution was to uninstall Desktop Manager 4.0 and reinstall 3.6sp3a. I didn't get the problem after that.
