Angry Need HELP to get Phone Functionality Back!

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7100T which I upgraded from 3.8 to 4.0 so I could get the extra functionality, especially the wireless sync for Outlook 2003, etc.

Download went fine and when I was able to use my phone again, the enterprise authenication/activation? began. I was told it could take several hours to sync up all of the address book, calendar, task, etc entries so I wasn't too concerned when at 8PM it was still going.

But when I looked later (~9:30pm) it was in the process of rebooting. OK, fine. It needs to clean itself up or whatever but when I returned two hours later ... it was still rebooting (white background screen with hour glass turning over and over and over). I removed the battery, waited and then reinserted the battery. Waited a while and after 15 minutes of rebooting, pulled the battery again. Repeat process. Then I decided to let it go and examine it in the morning.

Bottom Line: After 36 hours of rebooting (and needing my phone), I took out the sim and placed it in an older Blackberry so I can get back up and running. All is fine on that front but I want my 7100 back!! I never saw any type of error message and no matter how many times you hit a key (of any kind) you can NOT use the phone in any way, shape or fashion.

HELP!!! No one seems to know what I should do next. Can anyone here help? I searched the archives but wasn't successful so I apologize if this topic has been addressed before and I missed it. Thanks in advance.

You are on a BES, correct? You might have to contact your BB Admin. When we went from the evaluation to a purchased license, the admin and I had to try several things (including rebooting the BES), and several times ,before we could get my unit to complete Enterprise Activation.
