Howdy all, i was trying to donate my 7100t to my little bro and when i handed it to him, it was working for the most part. he gave it back to me last night and now its showing device error 322.
So i tried to load the handheld software to no avail, after it detects the pin number, it reconnects to the device as an Unknown pin and then says that it doesnt have the software for the device. I hit add and i browse to the loader files and slelect all the alx files to load...still gives me the same error. So i try with the battery trick and it skips detecting the pin, and goes right to unknown and just stays there.
So i figure id try javaloader...ive tried all versions from 3.7 up to 4.2 and none of them can connect to the device, i usually get this type of error message:
C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 3.7\bin>javaloader -usb wipe
RIM Wireless Device Java Loader
Copyright 2001-2003 Research In Motion Limited
Connecting to device...Error: unable to open port
OR
C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE Component Package 4.2.1\bin>j
avaloader -u wipe
RIM Wireless Handheld Java Loader
Copyright 2001-2006 Research In Motion Limited
Connecting to device...debug: COM error during Open: (0x80040001)
Error: unable to open port
Others are sometimes more verbose, but its generally the same thing.
My question is, is this thing just a big plastic paperweight or does anybody know of any tricks to get this puppy working again?
Its not connecting, it gives the same error as javaloader. i should mention that ive made like 40 attempts (hooray for a slow day at work lol) And i dont have another pc to try from :(

Yeah, i should have posted that in the original post. It is listed, but to be sure i reinstalled the handheld software and removed the device. I plugged it back in and it recgonises it as a RIM Handheld. I also had a spare usb cord and tried that too and it didnt work, so i tried different usb ports too.
