Default Users having problems with Unity voicemail emails

Please Login to Remove!

We just switched to Voice over IP and when someone gets a voicemail, an e-mail is sent with a wav file of the message attached. I know Blackberries cannot play the wav file. The problem happens when a user reads the message on a Blackberry. This marks the message as read on Exchange, but also removes it from the new voicemail on the phone system. So if the message is opened on the Blackberry, then you call into voicemail, the message is in saved voicemail, not new voicemail. If you mark it as unread, it goes back to being a new voicemail. Is there a way to prevent these messages from being marked as read? We would want all other e-mails to reconcile. The unity e-mails cannot be moved to another folder either.

Any suggestions?

Forgot to mention, I know you can mark it as unopened, but my users don't want to have to do that extra step.

I haven't found a good solution for this. You could set up a filter to prevent forwarding of messagees from Unity (though personally, I find it handy to know when I've received a voicemail on my work line).
