Default What is the equivalent of RimVerifyPassword() in Java ?

I have been using RimVerifyPassword(NULL) method in my C++ code (SDK 2.5) to find out whether a password has been set on a device.

Can anyone let me know the equivalent of this in Java (3.6 or above)?

There certainly *has to be* a way to do this, because the Blackberry Operating System does this

Any clues ? All help is welcome.
