I bought a blackberry 7290 unlocked so to work with my carrier. The software on the phone is out of date. I need the new version of 4.1 S/W on the phone. I have tried downloding the new software and desktop software and every time i try to update it the desktop manager shows me that there is nothing needed to update on the phone. Any idea's on how to get my phone wiped so i can restore it with the 4.1 s/w?

If you are downloading a version of software that is offered by a vendor other than yours, you need to delete the vendor.xml file before attempting the update.
