Default HOW do I upgrade?

Please Login to Remove!

I've followed all the instructions, but still nothing happens. I've downloaded the appropriate upgrades. After downloading, I delete the vendor.xlm file, double-click the downloaded upgrade....and NOTHING HAPPENS. An all-black window appears very briefly (maybe 1/2 a second), but that's it. What on earth am I doing wrong? This is my first Blackberry (an 8100), and I feel like a complete idiot. Have spent a good 8 hours on this in the past three days....

Unhappy still doesn't work

I've followed those instructions EXACTLY multiple times over the past few days. I can't even get SP 1 or 2 to install, much less the OS upgrade. The same thing happens with SP 1 and 2--I download, double-click....and nothing. I hook my Blackberry up, and STILL nothing. The part I'm having trouble with is #2: "Download the above file to the PC then install it to the PC by running the file you downloaded." I double-click to open it, and that black window flashes briefly, but nothing else happens. This is making me crazy!

Are you running Vista or XP? Have you disabled all antivirus applications you may have running? Do you have administrator rights on the computer? This sounds like a Windows problem and not a Blackberry software problem.

Ok, this might lead nowhere, but what is the size of the OS file that you downloaded?
