Unhappy Error Code 507 BB6750 Crashed Loading Version 4.0

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 6750 - am ready to chuck it. Had it two days - uploading version 4.0 - am a Bell Mobility customer.

It crashed and the OS is gone from the Handheld.

Have tried a lot of stuff cannot bring it back.

Have been waiting 3 days for BB support to call me - good luck.

Does anyone have a real fix for this ?

Thanks

Has Bell released 4.0 for the 6750? Last time I checked the RIM website 3.6.1.84 was the most recent version of OS for the 6750... See the following: https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareD...dexProcess.jsp

Yup. Trying to put 4.0 on a 6750 will be a impossible, painful exercise. The latest, found here - https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareD...ient=aMlbMFchE - is 3.6.1.84

How can I make the error code 507 go away - have reloaded software and all of that stuff - will no longer recognise the handheld as there is no OS in it.

Uninstall any 4.0 handheld software you installed (use Control Panel/Add Remove softtware)
Download the latest, approved, real live version of the handheld OS for the 6750 from the site.
Install it (execute the program you downloaded)
Locate and Delete "VENDOR.XML" from your C: drive
Restart Desktop Manager with the BB connected; it should load now.

I have done that and gets me quite a ways thorough the application then crashes and says fatal error.

The 6750 is a serial port device, right?
Not sure what to tell you.
Download a copy of Javaloader.exe (search for it here), open a DOS prompt and type

javaloader -p1 wipe

-p1 is the serial port your BB is attached to.

Give that a shot.

Bell Mobility use to have 4.0 Handheld for 6750... I downloaded it but deleted it before Bell decided it wasn't going to support 4.0 for the 6750... too many problems... When I had 4.0 running it was great... no problems

I'm on my 6th 6750 from Bell since December 04... What I can say that is very positive is that the customer support at 1-877-3282-123 is GREAT... always have had my replacement within 36 hours
