Default Less Expensive Server Options

Please Login to Remove!

Hello - we are new to the forum and we just bought 2 of the 7730 Models. We are a small company (2 users) and want to hook up to our Exchange server.

Are there less expensive options the RIM Server V4.0 for $1500 plus support of $530. Is there shareware or is there a hosted option we should consider?

Thank you.

There are hosted services.
I have seen them when researching Blackberry issues.

Try a search engine for Hosted Blackberry service, I'm going to look into it soon for a friends company, so may post some details if I find something.

It is best for you to ensure that the hosted company put you onto a BES 4 with the latest patching. BES 4 allows great wireless capabilities but the early versions were full of problems, although this might not be so much of an issue with Exchange.

I would be cautious with the Firewall when this is setup. Internal setups have to be on the clean side because Exchange opens so many ports.

I personally use mailstreet and the service has been awesome. Price is great.
