Default How to install other carrier's handheld software using Desktop Manager 4.0 SP1

Anyone knows how to get the App Loader to recognize another carrier's software when using Desktop Manager 4.0 SP1? (deleteing vendor.xml doesn't do the trick anymore)

I am trying to install Cingular handheld code on a TMO branded 7280, installed the code on the pc and deleted the vendor.xml but the application loader still shows no Handheld software on the unit.

This was not a problem prior to SP1 release of the 4.0 Desktop software.

never mind, it's working now after wiping the handheld using javaloader and having the App Loader detect the device, then delete vendor.xml and then you installed software on the PC from another carrier becomes visible to the app loader

Default no SIM card--- No handheld software---HELP

I bought a 7280 used on EBAY and I only want to use this as an address book for my wife....however...it won't recognize any handheld software and I've tired to download and install. It didn't come with a SIM card---but should this matter? I want to sync it with AOLs new sync program...but I can't get the loader to see any software at all.
HELP!!!!
