Question Connection Issues

Please Login to Remove!

I have read every thread I can find about connection/detection problems...and I have tried all of the things I can find, however, I am unable to get the BB detected in Desktop Manager or AppLoader.

Do you have to have service on the BB to use this? I have just purchased this one used and have not gotten service for it.

Any other suggestions other than the most recent ones on the forum would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

ScottP

when the BB is connected, look in your Device Manager under USB Devices and see if you notice something like "RIM Handheld". Try removing the USB cable and re-inserting it into the BB while looking at that section of the Device Manager on the PC and see if you notice any changes, if not, then use a different USB port, your USB port is not working properly.

I am assuming your blackberry is working fine? if not then it could be an issue with your handheld, try using javaloader and wiping the handleld and when you get the 507 Error, then try the redirector, but if its working fine, then don't go through all this because after you get the 507 Error if there is a problem with your USB port, you might not be able to install the OS using that PC.
