Did a search on this and...nothing.

I'm a new BB user and have an unlocked TMO 7230 that I would like to use on Cingular. I installed the Cingular 4.0 update, which went fine, but the T-Mobile branding remains (t-mobile welcome message, screen saver and browser icon). Is this normal? I would have expected the TMO branding to be replaced with Cingular branding if loaded Cingular software.

Is this built into the ROM? If so, is there any way to rebrand the device.

Carrier logo's are branded to each carrier BB device and can't be changed even with a different carrier OS install. Best you can do is upload a pic you fancy and set it as your home screen. As for the carrier logo on boot up your stuck with it.

Thanks! So is there any advantage to having the Cingular OS on my TMO 7230 if I am going to be using it on Cingular? i figured it might be better than the TMO OS for compatibility purposes.
